Dane County authorities have identified the body found floating in Lake Monona Bay Friday.
The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office released a statement Sunday that identified the victim as Alexander Kwiek-Rysavy, 29, of Madison.
According to officials, the preliminary results from Saturday's forensic autopsy are ""consistent with that of a drowning-related death,"" but further tests will be conducted.
Madison Police Department spokesperson Joel DeSpain said a passerby noticed the body in the shores of the Lake Monona Bay Friday at noon.
The body was found in the waters near the Brittingham Boathouse on the 600 block of North Shore Drive, according to Madison police.
The initial investigation revealed no signs of foul play.
The Dane County Medical Examiner and the Madison Police Department are still investigating the case.
