Police said they found marijuana being grown in the Braun's basement on the 1800 block of Rutledge Street on Madison's East side.

Richard Braun had 166 marijuana plants growing in his house, police said. Police also found four and half pounds of packaged marijuana and $17,414 in cash, according to the criminal complaint.

Braun told police he didn't sell marijuana but used it for medical purposes. Richard Braun did not have a prescription, police said.

The Brauns are set to appear in court Thursday.
