Board of Regents approves discount on tuition for out-of-state legacy students

The UW Board of Regents approved a program Friday to give a discount of up to 25 percent to out-of-state children or grandchildren of UW alumni.

Vice Provost for Enrollment Management Joanne Berg told the Wisconsin State Journal UW-Madison has no plans to adopt the program, however.

The Return to Wisconsin program started in 2003 and is already in effect at several UW schools, including Eau Claire, Green Bay, La Crosse, Oshkosh, Parkside, River Falls, Stevens Point and Whitewater.
