Best Stadium Area Bar: The Library

Every college town has a bar called The Library. For example, the University of Minnesota has a large, Church Key-esque bar called The Library right in the center of Dinkytown. So what The Library has isn't particularly special, be it in the country or even in Madison for that matter.

But it is special in the Camp Randall area. To be honest, the stadium bar scene in Madison is pretty bleak. Not much is terribly impressive, and the worst, the Regent Street Retreat, is so awful that three customers is considered a busy night.

The Library, on the other hand, has some class to it. It has some of the most comfortable seating you'll find, with a layout crafted like a large living room with the furniture to go with it. And while it isn't at all large, it's still got a good share of TVs, so if you don't have tickets to the game you can still check it out in addition to every other big college game of the day. In addition, it's not the first stop people think of once the game is over, so if you're willing to hop across Johnson St. to that awkward triangular block in the W.I.D.'s shadow, you should be in for a post fifth quarter treat.
