Police said several teens were the victims of an alleged bizarre traffic incident Friday.
Two female teenagers and a male teenager told police a man threw a handsaw through the rear window of their car while driving on West Washington Avenue.
The man who threw the saw was a passenger in a car driven by a woman the victims knew, police said, but they did not know the man.
""They know [the driver] only by a street name,"" Madison Police Public Information Officer Joel DeSpain said.
The victims told police the woman was swerving, trying to hit them as they drove from East Washington Avenue to West Washington Avenue.
During this time, the male passenger was allegedly throwing gang signs.
""When both cars came to a red light on West Washington, he got out and tossed the saw,"" DeSpain said.
Police did not say if anyone was injured in the incident.
