Police said Kenneth Welch Pendleton, a 46-year-old Madison resident, came to the victim's door Sunday demanding money. According to the incident report, the victim had been providing Pendleton with a bus pass and money since last month.

According to the victim, Pendleton continued to ask him for money and when the victim finally refused, Pendleton confronted him with a knife. The victim then withdrew funds from an ATM for the suspect and contacted police.
