Girl hit by car, gets ticket for sudden pedestrian movement

A 19-year-old woman was hit by a car Friday, and had to pay a ticket for moving too suddenly, according to a police report.

At approximately 7:15 a.m., a car hit the woman as she was attempting to cross Park Street near Spring Street.

According to the report, a parked construction vehicle may have obstructed the woman's view.  She ran into the street believing the street was clear of oncoming traffic, only to be hit by a car.
