80 eliminates Union South stop; fewer Eagle Heights trips

Beginning Sept. 4, bus Route 80 will be shortened by eliminating the Union South bus stop and reducing the number of trips to Eagle Heights to 15-minute intervals between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in anticipation of major campus construction projects.

According to a release, return trips to Memorial Union will bypass Union South, and Route 80 will instead stop at the northwest corner of Charter and West Johnson.

Additionally, the trips not going into Eagle Heights between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will turn at Observatory Drive and Walnut Street, serving the south side stops of lots 60 and 76, and proceed to the hospital on the return to Memorial Union.

Early-morning and afternoon rush-hour buses will operate every 7-8 minutes along the full route length.
