Mind Your Morsels

Q: Will drinking tea prevent me from getting heart disease?

A: For many years, green tea has been praised for its health benefits. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, leading many to wonder if it can help prevent heart disease.

Participants of the study who consumed five or more cups of green tea a day showed a 26 percent lower risk of mortality due to CVD.

While researchers are confident in the connection, the study lacks powerful statistical backing.

However, since five cups of green tea seems unrealistic to most, the study comments that even one cup of green tea may be beneficial.
