Kenosha police are investigating a case in which a man allegedly tripped and fell on his nephew and caused the infant to die, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The 25-year-old Kenosha man told police that the incident occurred in his home and was completely accidental, reported the Sentinel. The toddler reportedly did not die immediately from his uncle's fall. The uncle said the boy lost consciousness and stopped breathing after he accidentally fell on him.
Kenosha police told the Sentinel that the 15-month-old boy died from injuries suffered in the accident on Monday. Area police are currently investigating the situation to decide whether foul play is a factor.
