The UW women's swimming team won two Big Ten titles and earned three qualifications for the NCAA championships Thursday at the University of Minnesota.
Sophomore Yi Ting Siow won her second career conference title by winning the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.60. The time broke a seven-year-old conference record.
Junior Jackie Vavrek won the 50 yard title in 22.41 seconds to give UW its second title of the day. Both Vavrek and Siow now qualify for the NCAAs.
The Badgers also placed second in the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:29:88. The time was good enough to qualify for the NCAA championships, which begin in March.
