After a female student said Tuesday she was sexually assaulted during a December party at a UW-Madison chapter fraternity, the university announced its own investigation and the fraternity's leader admitted the party violated drinking laws, according to WKOW.
Interim Associate Dean of Students Elton Crim told the station the university launched its own investigation to find out what happened and whether the fraternity broke student organization rules.
The new developments come on the heels of the victim's Tuesday TV interview with WKOW. The victim, who was a 20-year-old UW-Madison student at the time of the party, alleges she was assaulted at a December Zeta Psi party.
Zeta Psi leader and UW-Madison senior Ari Metzger told WKOW a keg that was served at the party, where roughly 100 people were in attendance, was in violation of insurance rules applying to the house.
He also said he was aware of the 20-year-old woman's presence at the party and she ""appeared very intoxicated.""
