Four thousand free student tickets for the Dalai Lama's May 4 talk at the Kohl Center will be distributed Saturday.
Students can present a valid UW-Madison ID from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Camp Randall ticket office to receive up to two tickets. If tickets are left after Saturday's distribution time, the box office will re-open Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to hand out the remainder.
The Dalai Lama will be in Madison May 2, 3 and 4. He will speak at the Alliant Energy Center and deliver a public talk May 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
He will also travel to Deer Park Buddhist Center in Oregon, Wis., to bless the creation of a new temple.
In addition to the student tickets, admission for nonstudents for his speech starts at $25, with event passes costing up to $1,000 per person.
This will be the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize winner's fifth visit in three decades to UW-Madison.
