The Associated Students of Madison's Student Service Finance Committee debated Monday night at Memorial Union about upcoming student organization budgets.
For the Student Leadership Program, the SSFC cut food budgets by $500 and office supplies of $700 for the membership development and recruitment department. Additionally, $48 was cut from the Student Council Speakers Bureau Committee.
The committee increased the wage of the office manager of the Legal Information Center to $9.19.
The Sex Out Loud budget hearing was questioned for more than an hour for their usage of example toys, condom costs, need for books and price of shipping new trainees to the Women's Touch meeting. They wanted finances for giving away condoms, World Aids Week, Condom Week and Sexual Health Week.
The Rape Crisis Center presented the group's budget and asked for only 8 percent of its whole budget from the committee, while UW-Madison students make up 15 to 20 percent of the people they assist.
