The Associated Students of Madison's Student Services Finance Committee approved two student organizations and denied two student organizations' segregated fee funding for the 2006-'07 academic year Monday night.
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences' Diversity Education Program, a group devoted to promoting multicultural issues within CALS, and Students of Sustainable Agriculture, were denied funding for ""a long list of reasons,"" according to SSFC Chair Zach Frey.
SSFC approved segregated fee funding for the Legal Information Center, a walk-in center staffed by UW-Madison law students offering free legal information, and the Wisconsin Student Public Interest Research Group, a student group concerned with social change and poverty.
Three other student groups presented at the hearing, aiming to secure segregated fee funds for the school year.
Members of SSFC will vote to finalize the results of Monday's funding approvals and denials at their third meeting of the year on Thursday.
