A Chicago native will soon be in Madison to face felony charges for several armed robberies in the Madison area last year.
Marijuan Haynes, 31, robbed several taxi drivers at gunpoint in the Allied Drive area, according to Madison police.
He is currently being held in jail in Chicago on unrelated charges. According to police, Haynes will be extradited to Madison after his legal problems in Chicago are resolved.
Once in Dane County, Haynes will face counts of armed robbery and resisting an officer, police said.
No one was seriously injured in any of the cab robberies for which Haynes is charged.
