An attempted robbery on the 600 block of Howard Place, near Langdon Street, failed Wednesday when the victim frightened away her attacker by yelling and drawing the attention of people walking nearby.
According to the police report, the suspect is described as a thin black man in his mid-20s. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a knit cap and black sweatshirt.
He fled the scene of the crime in a small blue boxy vehicle, the report said.
