No. 5

The calm voice over for Master Card lists many expensive purchases, but makes them all worth while with a concluding 'priceless' item. This version shows a father taking his son to a baseball game, a lost puppy and even a favorite cartoon nuclear-safety inspector.

In this commercial, the warm-fuzzy-feeling is replaced with laughs as Homer Simpson runs his errands. The voice-over reminds Homer to purchase more than just beer when shopping, and the price of his one-second haircut ($75). It remains to tell the family man that getting his errands done quickly to spend time with his family is priceless. This comes just as Homer is sitting down for a brew at Moe's. The humor in this ad can remind fans of the earlier 'glory days' of the hit series, earning its place on the list.
