’Vampire’ sinks teeth into politics

Jonathan 'The Impaler' Sharkey, a former wrestler and self-proclaimed vampire, announced Friday he plans to run for governor of Minnesota next year on the Vampyres, Witches and Pagans Party ticket.

Sharkey, 41, claims he is a vampire 'just like you see in the movies and TV,' regularly biting the neck of his wife Julie and drinking her blood.

'Unlike other candidates, I'm not going to hide my evil side,' Sharkey said.

Sharkey said that if elected, he will personally execute convicted murderers and rapists by impaling them on wooden stakes outside the state Capitol building. He also supports improved education, tax breaks for farmers and better benefits for veterans.
