Genna's Lounge feels like a Bohemian bar dropped into downtown Madison. House plants line the walls and Christmas lights give the bar an inviting glow.
Genna's also has more variety than many students are probably used to. Diverse patrons'grad students, Capitol staffers, businesspeople and hipsters frequent the bar. And many types of beer'more than 10 on tap, and nearly 50 in bottles.
Bartenders say they take pride in making 'perfect' classic drinks, especially martinis. (They also said Genna's was the first Madison bar to serve the now-ubiquitous Cosmopolitan.)

Be sure to try a Pimm's Cup made with carmelized gin; it tastes just like ice tea.
If you want to 'run into' your hot TA, Genna's is a good bet.
