Women's Hockey
No. 1 Wisconsin notched their 16th WCHA victory Sunday and completed a sweep of Ohio State, winning 2-1. Their overall record increased to 21-2-1.
Senior assistant captain Nikki Burish tied the game with her fifth goal of the year and junior forward Sara Bauer's 18th score gave UW the lead with 1:33 remaining in the first period
Up next for UW is Bemidji State on Jan. 28-29 at the Kohl Center.
Women's Track
The Badgers were led by an NCAA provisional qualifying time by junior Katrina Rundhaug in the 3,000 meter run Saturday at the Panther Open in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Senior Maggie Grabow placed third with a personal best time of 9:40.45 and junior 'A Havahla Haynes was fourth with a mark of 9:55.71.
Freshman Alicia Pabich won the mile in 4:53.03 and freshman Sarah Hurley was second in the race.
Men's Track
Junior Demi Omole and the men's team also competed at the Panther Open. Omole notched a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of his own in the 200 meter race with a time of 21.47, almost one second better than the next finsisher.
Senior Paul Check won the 60-meter hurdles and senior Alonzo Moore won the long jump with a mark of 24 feet, 6.25 inches.
