Authorities: Object in parking ramp was not pipe bomb

The suspicious object recorded Nov. 22 on the sixth floor of a Dane County Parking Ramp 'located on the intersection of Fairchild, West Main and West Doty streets'was not a pipe bomb, as previously suspected. After analysis, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms found no evidence of explosive materials. The object was the first of two suspected explosive devices found in downtown parking ramps during the week of Nov. 20.
