Even in winter, footwear can make or break an outfit. The presence of Moon Boots on campus late last winter and again this year exhibit a case of outfit breaking. The outrageously large boots overtake the bottom of the wearer's leg, making it impossible for onlookers to see anything in an outfit except for them. While they keep one's feet warm and dry, getting past the fact that their appearance is that of snowboarding boots three sizes too large is impossible. There are two exceptions that make wearing these boots acceptable: actual moon travel and severe arctic cold. At all costs, avoid these boots.
