I read with some sadness the decision of coach John Palermo to step down.
I came to know John when I spoke with him on several occassions about the progress of my son, former Wisconsin Badger Erasmus James, who at that time suffered from a dislocated hip.
Erasmus' full recovery from injury during those several months and his drafting/elevation to the NFL are in a large measure attributable to the strength, care, love, guidance, direction, emotional and motivational support provided by Palermo.
On behalf of myself, his mother, brothers, sisters, family members and friends, I say thanks to John Palermo for his unconditional support and for sharing his professional and family values with Erasmus James.
We love John and his family. I know that Erasmus James and all those whose lives he has touched in some way are proud of him. May God bless John and his family.
