U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., recently announced he believes it is time for a 'cheesehead' to enter the Oval Office. He was less explicit, however, about whether he should be that cheesehead.
Appearing on ABC's 'This Week,' on Sunday, Feingold said the chances of him campaigning in the 2008 presidential race were 'probably higher' than one in 100, but held off from committing to run.
'But I do think one thing we can all agree on is that this country is overdue for a cheesehead president. We've never had one,' he said on the program.
Feingold's anti-war views have caused some to consider him as a potential candidate for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. He has also recently visited New Hampshire, the site of the first presidential primary.
