Two women were victims in an armed robbery early Saturday morning at 500 N. Henry St. according to a police statement. According to the statement, the victims were walking northbound on North Henry Street near Gilman Street when the suspect approached them and demanded they give him their purses.
When the victims refused, the suspect lifted up his shirt to reveal a handgun he had stashed in his waistband, at which point the women immediately turned over their purses, according to the statement.
The suspect'approximately 5'10\ with a skinny build and last seen wearing a black, hooded winter coat'then allegedly fled the area in a four-door, maroon vehicle. The two women, approximately 19 years old, were not injured during the robbery.
