Dane County Judge approves low-cost housing

A Dane County judge ruled Saturday in favor of Madison's inclusionary zoning law, which requires new housing to include a set amount of lower-cost units.

The Apartment Association of South Central Wisconsin took the case to court in June, claiming the law was illegal, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Judge John Albert ruled in favor of the February 2004 law, and Mayor Dave Cieslewicz said he agreed with the ruling.
