New Beer Thursdays

When traveling through Europe, Americans are often confused by the propensity of some nations' preference for luke-warm beer. Wisconsin sensibilities hold that beer is meant to be drank cold. However, it is important to remember that Europeans have been drinking for longer than America has existed.

It took a Happy Fish label on a Belgian Brew to make me see the light. Strange I know, but often the wisest of prophets come in strange disguises.

Drank cold, Lake Louie Brewing, Prairie Moon Belgian Farmhouse Ale tastes bitter and overly heavy. When given a few minutes to warm, the flavors start exploding. This beer delivers a fruity, smooth intoxication with much more substance than the faux beers that have taken over campus.

Four stars out of five.
