Louis C.K.

Louis C.K.'s philosophy "everything is amazing and nobody is happy," may be a factor of technology's growing role in our lives.

Letters to the Editor

I am in full agreement with what Breezy Willis wrote in his Sept 15 opinion piece, \Trade embargo a relic of Cold War."" Washington should have graciously accepted Cuba's offer of medical assistance to New Orleans in the wake of the Katrina disaster. A substantial number of American lives might have been saved had the offer been accepted.

The economic embargo and travel ban in effect against Cuba, dating to the Eisenhower administration, should be lifted as soon as possible. These punitive measures, recently intensified by the Bush administration, are contrary to the spirit of free trade touted by capitalists the world over. Like Breezy Willis, I don't see the Cuban leadership as a threat to the American way of life. As a result of the embargo, Cubans have suffered and continue to suffer from unnecessary hardship.
