Warsteiner, a German pilsner whose brewing history dates back to 1753, claims to abide by the \German Purity Law!"" (emphasis theirs). While the New Beer Thursdays' crack review team cannot attest to the supposed purity of this beer, it does taste pretty damn good.
Sharp at first, the beer quickly fades-but not in an unsatisfying way. Instead, Warsteiner does not force itself and leaves a light, refreshing taste. In many ways, ""premium verum"" provides exactly what you would expect from a German beer-orthodox and satisfying. If these two criteria are what you are looking for, Warsteiner will most certainly deliver.
