Police seek men involved in Witte vandalism

UW-Madison police are searching for two \persons of interest"" in the August 29 vandalism of Witte Hall, according to a press release. 

 

 

 

At approximately 2 a.m. that Sunday, a sixth-floor fire sprinkler was intentionally set off, causing approximately $5,000 water damage to the southeast dorm. 

 

 

 

Residents from the dorm's fifth and sixth floors needed to be temporarily relocated as a result of the incident.

Witte security cameras captured the two men in question in the dorm. 

 

 

 

UW-Madison police are asking anyone with information to contact them immediately at 262-2957 or UW-Madison Crime Stoppers at 262-8477.  

 

 

 

A cash reward may be available if any information results in the identification and prosecution of those responsible for the vandalism.
