The Alcohol License Review Committee removed the drink specials ban on three bars Tuesday evening: Crave Restaurant and Lounge, 201 W. Gorham St., Madison's, 119 King St., and Buck's Madison Square Garden, 802 Regent St.
The ALRC is removing drink specials bans on three bars every two weeks. Andrea Thiel, manager of Crave, said she does not have any negative opinions on the approach the ALRC is taking in removing the drinking bans from various bars.
\The drinking bans are not going to stop people from going out, so the fact that the bans on three bars were removed two weeks ago doesn't really effect our business,"" she said. Thiel also said drink specials bans do not have a strong effect on their restaurant because they are relatively new. She said they have never had a long period of drinking specials, so the ban on drinking specials did not strongly affect Crave.
