The Wisconsin women's basketball team (2-8 Big Ten, 8-12 overall) suffered its worst defeat of the season Thursday night as the No. 20 Michigan State Spartans (7-3, 17-4) defeated the Badgers 72-47 at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich.
The Badgers shot poorly from three-point land, knocking down only four of 23 attempts from behind the arc. Michigan State controlled the paint on UW as they out-rebounded the Badgers by 10 and doubled UW's score inside the paint.
Wisconsin sophomore guard Ashley Josephson led the team with 17 points.
