UW-Madison junior Meng-Ju \Mark"" Wu's extradition hearing was pushed back again from its scheduled date Tuesday.
His lawyer said he will challenge an extradition order by New York Gov. George Pataki before Wu appears in court again.
The Dane County district attorney charged Wu with three counts of first degree homicide in connection with a triple shooting in Verona June 26. He must return to Wisconsin to stand trial.
Wu's lawyer, Charles Abercrombie, said Pataki issued a warrant for Wu's return to Wisconsin, but a New York court will have to decide whether the warrant is justified and Abercrombie will challenge it in court first.
Former Badger hockey player and NHL star Dany Heatley faces up to 15 years in prison in connection with the death of his Atlanta Thrashers teammate Dan Snyder, CNN reported Monday.
Police charged Heatley with first-degree vehicular homicide Monday after Snyder died Sunday of injuries incurred when Heatley lost control of his Ferrari and crashed it into a fence Sept. 29. He and Snyder were thrown from the vehicle.
Heatley also faces four misdemeanor counts punishable by up to a year in prison each. He is free on $50,000 bond.
