SERF to see five plasma TV sets

The Southeast Recreational Facility will feature five new plasma flat screen televisions in the cardio center by Friday.

The televisions, which employees started installing Tuesday, will be set to ESPN, CNN, Fox and probably MTV and a local station, according to SERF Director Dale Carruthers.

\If students are of the opinion that of the five TVs, they'd like a channel other than the ones that we have originally put forth, then we can change them anytime we want,"" he added.

Cardio room users will access sound by tuning personal radios to different FM stations.

Carruthers said he thinks the Natatorium will receive similar equipment in the '03-'04 year.

Segregated fees and SERF income will fund the $4,200 cost for each television as well as cable bills.
