Governor Doyle and the Department of Financial Institutions have recently offered three choices for the Wisconsin Commemorative Quarter. Citizens can vote at
The three quarters point to various aspects of Wisconsin history and culture. One choice shows an early explorer trading with a Native American. Another is a mosaic of various Wisconsin agricultural products, with a dairy cow, cheese and corn. The third choice portrays Wisconsin's scenic resources, with a pastoral scene that includes some state animals.
The Wisconsin Commemorative Quarter will be minted in 2004.
