About 70 UW-Madison students joined between 5,000 and 10,000 others in Chicago Saturday to protest the war in Iraq, according to protest organizer and UW-Madison sophomore Chris Dols.
Protesters, primarily consisting of students, rallied at the Federal Plaza in Chicago before they marched through several city blocks, Dols said.
According to Dols, the protest coincided with two other protests that occurred Saturday in Washington, D.C. and Oakland, Calif. All three protests were the result of a new organization called C.A.N., the Campus Antiwar Network.
