Vandals attacked the state Republican Party Headquarters, 148 E. Johnson St., last week, according to a police report. 

 

 

 

The incident occurred between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday. Rocks and bricks were thrown through the building's windows, along with mason jars and green peppers filled with purple paint, according to a report in the March 21 Wisconsin State Journal.

An unidentified suspect robbed Sugar Shack Records, 513 State St., Saturday evening at around 7 p.m., according to a police report. 

 

 

 

An employee described the suspect as a 6'1' male in his mid-20s with a light complexion and a buzz cut. The suspect threatened the employee with a black handgun and demanded money, the victim said.

Rumors about the arrival of a Krispy Kreme doughnut store in Madison have swirled around the city for several years, but the long wait will be over this October, according to a report in Friday's The Capital Times. 

 

 

 

The store will be located somewhere near the interchange of Interstate 39/90/94 and U.S. 151, according to Chuck Knoblauch, regional manager for Wisconsin Krispy Kreme franchisee Glazed Investments LLC. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Former UW football player Russ Kuhns was stabbed Friday, March 14 near the UW-Madison campus, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported March 19. Kuhns, whose football eligibility ended this year, suffered a stab wound to his abdomen and slight damage to his liver. The 23-year-old was taken to the UW Hospital where he underwent surgery and was released. Timikca R. Widener, 26, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and aggravated battery, and Morena L. Taylor-Benell, 19, was charged with battery in relation to the incident.
