A lecture by architect Cesar Pelli scheduled for today has been cancelled because Pelli is ill. Organizers said the lecture will be rescheduled. 

 

 

 

Pelli designed the Overture Center, which is currently under construction. He has also designed many other structures, including the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the tallest building in the world.

The City of Madison declared a snow emergency Tuesday which will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday morning.  

 

 

 

Residents should remove all cars and other vehicles from the street or park them on the even-numbered side of the street until 7 a.m. Wednesday and on the odd-numbered side of the street Wednesday evening. 

 

 

 

During the snow emergency, residents may park for free in city ramps from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Violations of the alternate side parking rules are punishable by a $10 to $20 fine. 

 

 

 

Residents with questions pertaining to the snow emergency rules may call 261-9111.
