Letter ignores particulars of cartoon message

Oh Sam, how close-minded. Political cartoons do not make light of issues.

They have been around for hundreds of years, and are just another outlet for people to express their opinions. They are a very harsh outlet, but by no means make light of the issues they address.

Since you did not understand the cartoons, Sam, I will explain. The first one of the pro-choice rally was drawn to show one simple fact: An abortion stops someone from being born, which ends their life. That is the purpose of abortions. This is something that we all know, but we are desensitized to it.

It only comes to a full reality when you give birth to someone you once considered aborting. This is something I have been through which brings up another point. You accuse my sister of being ignorant about the issue when she saw me go through that firsthand. Be careful when you start talking about someone you know nothing about.

The second cartoon with the angel was about people who think aborting babies is their God-given right. One would think that our God-given right would be to live.

Last, I just have to comment on how you think the government wants to eliminate birth control. That is so far from the truth. Many pro-lifers just want to eliminate abortion as a form of birth control.

To abort or not is a hard decision to make, but it is much easier to live with your child than an abortion. Believe me.
