The Associated Students of Madison Student Council failed a proposed internal budget by a vote of 11 to 15 Thursday night.
The budget, which passed in the Student Services Finance Committee Monday, needed the Student Council's approval to be enacted. As a result, the budget will come before a conference committee composed of the Student Council Chair, Bryan Gadow; the SSFC Chair, Roman Patzner and members of the council and committee, respectively. The budget will then be presented to the council again, as confirmation is needed in order for it to be enacted.
ASM also passed a bill supporting Matt Morin, a UW-Madison senior who was fired by University Housing.
