WASHINGTON--President Bush said Wednesday he suspects that Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network is behind last week's coordinated suicide bombing of an Israeli-owned hotel and failed missile attack on an Israeli jetliner in Kenya.
Bush's suspicions, which have not been publicly confirmed by intelligence officials, came as Kenyan officials questioned three men as witnesses, including a man who said he sold the four-wheel-drive vehicle used in the bombing of Mombasa's beachfront Paradise Hotel.
The explosion killed 10 Kenyans, three Israelis and the bombers. Investigators say they believe there were three attackers.
\I believe al Qaeda was involved in the Africa bombings, in Kenya,' Bush said during a White House ceremony. ""I believe al Qaeda will strike anywhere they can in order to disrupt a civil society.'
