Race issues need action 

 

I am deeply concerned by the silence of Chancellor Wiley and his colleagues regarding the hate crime experienced by one student in Witte hall. I am even more disturbed by the reoccurrence of these \isolated"" issues. 

 

This ""liberal"" campus of ours has serious racial issues that will never be resolved if silence is the administration's answer. 

 

I encourage you to keep these issues present in the daily paper to increase awareness that racial equality begins with students. 

 

Please take on the position of the bigger man, and do not resort to silence to solve an issue that is not going away.
