Police consider Halloween safety

The Madison Police Department revealed their traffic plans for Halloween during a press conference Thursday. 

 

 

 

But it was the department's other plans that caught the attention of Ald. Mike Verveer, District 4. According to Verveer, the police will conduct multiple safety measures such as removing bike racks, greasing light polls and applying a sticky substance to the rooftops of bus stops. The police also will conduct undercover operations and videotape parts of the celebration. 

 

 

 

\All the money the cops are spending is money well spent,"" Verveer said. ""This year we'll get two weekends of Halloween. I predict everything will go very well.\
