Associated Students of Madison election polls closed Thursday night at 8 p.m. With a voter turnout of approximately 2,000, students selected new freshmen, non-Letters and Science Graduate and Special Student ASM student council representatives as well as a new seat on the Student Services Financial Committee.
Maryam Ashraf won the SSFC seat with 897 votes, filling the vacancy left by previous member Lamont Smith. Freshman student council representatives will be Bob Thelen III with 272 votes and Adam Schlicht with 195 votes. Keith Thompson took the non-Letters and Science seat with 126 votes. As the only student running, Sahar Abdelrahman took the special students seat.
