Tuition talk initiates Langdon Street brawl

A 24-year-old Madison male was attacked on the 300 block of W. Gilman Street early Sunday morning following a heated argument concerning tuition at UW-Madison, according to a Madison Police Department statement.

The victim told police he was walking from a party on Langdon Street when he began talking to a group of males. The discussion eventually turned to the subject of tuition at UW-Madison. A heated debate insued and the group later turned on the Madison male and began to beat him. After suffering punches and kicks from the group, the victim later identified Maurice Roseborough, a 26-year-old make from Evanston, Ill., as one of his assailants.

Roseborough was arrested on the charge of battery and put in the Dane County Jail. Roseborough was released from jail later the same day according to the automated Dane County Jail system.
