UW football has bye week

The Badger football squad has this week off and for Head Coach Barry Alvarez, the bye week could not come at a better time. After playing five games in five weeks, the UW now has the chance to rest up and let some players heal, notably, senior quarterback Brooks Bollinger with a minor leg contusion and sophomore running back Anthony Davis with a slight ankle sprain. The football team will next see action two Saturdays from now on Oct. 5, when they host undefeated and No. 12 ranked Penn State University at Camp Randall. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m.
