A UW-Madison student was the victim of a robbery in his home at The SURF Apartments, 661 Mendota Court, on Feb. 27, the Madison Police Department reported Friday.
At about 7:40 p.m. that night the 19-year-old answered a knock at his door and was attacked and thrown to the floor by five men. They held him down and demanded money and drugs. One man grabbed a knife and held it while the victim was held down. After taking the student's wallet and some other property, the attackers left.
The victim sustained bruises to his cheeks and the left side of his forehead.
The assailants are between 20 and 23 years old, and include a 5'4' blonde white male with glasses, a black male around 6'0'-6'2' with a heavy build, and two white males and one black male with no other identifying information.
