A former UW-Madison student may be one of the 300 prisoners at Camp X-Ray at Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba, The Miami Herald reported.
According to the article, some of the prisoners from Afghanistan in the U.S. efforts in the war on terrorism received degrees from American universities. One of the prisoners called himself a \badger,"" possibly implying he graduated from UW-Madison.
As of Saturday, some university officials were investigating the report but could not confirm whether the prisoner was indeed a former student, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
