UW Police are on the lookout for a man who is continually asking students for money, saying his car has broken down or has run out of gas.
According to an officer who did not want to be identified, campus and city police have received about six complaints from students regarding the suspect. It is difficult for them to react, however, because they have not received any live calls, only calls two or three hours after incidents had occurred.
The officer said UW police encourage students who are faced with this or a similar situations to report it immediately by calling 262-4524.
